GOVERNMENT RELATIONS DIRECTOR

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute an Indonesia government relations strategy aligned with business growth priorities.
- Build trusted, ethical relationships with ministries, regulators, SOEs, industry bodies, and other external stakeholders.
- Monitor policy, regulatory, procurement, and market-entry developments and translate them into practical business implications.
- Support permit, approval, licensing, consultation, and regulatory pathway planning.
- Prepare government-facing materials, consultation inputs, stakeholder maps, and executive briefings.
- Partner with Business Development, Commercial, Finance, and Operations to align external engagement with deal timing and compliance requirements.
- Represent the business professionally in meetings, forums, working groups, and stakeholder engagements.
Instructions:
- Bachelor degree in Public Policy, Law, International Relations, Business, Political Science, or related discipline.
- 10+ years in government relations, regulatory affairs, public policy, stakeholder engagement, or external affairs in Indonesia.
- Direct experience engaging Indonesian ministries, regulators, SOEs, provincial government, or public-sector stakeholders.
- Exposure to defence, maritime, infrastructure, energy, transport, heavy industry, or other regulated sectors is strongly preferred.
- Excellent Bahasa Indonesia and professional English communication capability.
- High integrity, strong judgement, and comfort operating within anti-bribery and compliance-controlled environments.
